SAFE PLACE

Festival access

IMPORTANT! You are only allowed to access the festival if one of the options below is fulfilled!

The easiest and safest way to enjoy the festival is to arrive with a vaccination certificate!

  • If you are FULLY VACCINATED (+2 weeks / +4 weeks for Johnson & Johnson) and you have a VACCINATION CERTIFICATE, you’ll get access to the festival for the entire weekend.

If you haven’t been (fully) vaccinated yet or you haven’t received your vaccination certificate yet, you either need to:

  • have a valid NEGATIVE PCR TEST (Valid for 48h only!!! If, for instance, you receive your test results on Thursday 14h00, you’ll be able to access the festival until Saturday 14h00. After that, so for Sunday, you’ll need a new PCR test or a negative rapid antigen test taken at the festival. So only one negative PCR test will not be enough to spend the entire weekend at the festival!);

  • have a RECOVERY certificate (6 months);

  • have proof of a NEGATIVE RAPID ANTIGEN TEST, taken at the festival grounds (Valid for 24h only!!!).

If you don’t meet one of the above criteria, you will be denied access to the festival!

Belgian citizens: Download the COVIDSAFE APP

Non-Belgian residents must submit a European Digital Covid Certificate. When the certificate is scanned a green (access) or red (no access) code is displayed.

The vaccination certificate consists of a standardised QR code that works for all EU residents (+ Iceland, Norway and Switzerland). The document also displays the certificate’s validity.

Under-12s are exempt from testing.

At the festival entrance you will be asked to present proof of identity, i.e. an official ID card or passport.

Piece of advice: also print your certificate, just to be sure!

Corona measures

Boombalfestival respects all government obligations, guidelines, and recommendations (see list below). However, those may change at any time in the run-up to or during the festival. Since those changes and their possible consequences are beyond the organisation’s control, tickets cannot be cancelled, or reimbursed. Only ticket holders who did not get permission to travel to the festival from their home countries due to travel restrictions imposed by the Belgian government, are entitled to a refund.

Obligations, guidelines and recommendations of the authorities:

  • People who have been fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the festival and who have an officially recognised (digital) certificate issued by a competent authority within the EU, will be granted access, provided they can present a valid entry ticket.
  • People who have been partially vaccinated and have passed a negative PCR test no more than 48 hours prior to entry to the festival and who can prove this by means of an officially recognised (digital) certificate issued by a competent authority within the European Union, will be granted access provided they are in possession of a valid entry ticket.
  • People who have passed a negative PCR test no more than 48 hours before the start of their entry to the festival and who can prove this by means of an officially recognised (digital) certificate issued by a competent authority within the European Union, will be granted entry provided they are in possession of a valid entry ticket.
  • People who, on the basis of a recent earlier infection with COVID-19, can present an officially recognised (digital) certificate issued by a competent authority within the European Union, are granted entry provided they are in possession of a valid entry ticket.

If you are granted permission to enter based on a valid COVID-19 certificate, you will only have access as long as your certificate is valid. If your certificate expires in the course of the day (e.g. at 14h00), you will only be allowed to stay until midnight.

The costs for COVID-19 tests or certificates are entirely the festival-goer’s responsibility. Boombalfestival does not pay for or reimburse those expenses.

Boombalfestival will provide a test centre with antigen rapid tests (valid for 24 hours, €10) at the entrance to provide the visitor with as many options as possible and to simplify access to the festival.

Always bear in mind the opening hours of the COVID-19 test centre!! After closing time, we will no longer be able to test you!

OPENING HOURS COVID-19 TEST CENTRE AT FESTIVAL SITE:

(not on Wednesday!)

• THURSDAY: 12h00 – 16h00

• FRIDAY: 10h00 – 14h00

• SATURDAY: 10h00 – 14h00

• SUNDAY: 10h00 – 14h00

A COVID-19 rapid antigen test will be valid for 24 hours only! If you, for example, arrive at 14h00 on Friday, you will get your ‘COVID-19 free zone bracelet’ after having been tested, that is. Your test will be valid for Saturday (entire day) IF you arrive before 14h00 (for instance at 13h30). However, it will no longer be valid for Saturday (if you arrive after 14h00) or Sunday. It, subsequently, means that you will have to retake the test before entering on Saturday (after 14h00) or Sunday, otherwise you will be denied access.

Another option is to have your rapid antigen test done at the pharmacist’s. They will afterwards register the test results in their system. Bear in mind, a home self-test is not valid! The test must be done at a valid test centre or the festival’s test centre, or by a GP or a pharmacist. .

Inability or unwillingness to present a valid, officially recognised (digital) certificate, as specified above, does not entitle the holder to cancellation, compensation or reimbursement, regardless of whether they are in possession of a valid entry ticket.

Privacy: your certificate will be scanned at the entrance without us having access to your health data. Moreover, no visitor data is saved on the scanning devices.

It’s your responsibility to be well informed about and to comply with the festival’s most recently updated COVID-19 rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times! Always check the festival’s official website before entering and check the EU travel updates before travelling to Belgium!

Before travelling to Belgium, always check: https://reopen.europa.eu/en/ for recent updates.

In the case of cancellation of the event, the ticket price will be refunded to the person or company that issued the order.

Buying a ticket equals agreeing to the General Terms and Conditions and means that you, as a consumer, explicitly and unconditionally have taken note of and agree with this information about COVID-19 measures..

Looking forward to dancing again 😊
